Another first in the world of Bedford Park is an independent bottling from Guyana. And in this case, we decided to swing for the fences - a PM/DHE from Diamond Distillery. Diamond Distillery is situated on the Demerara River in Guyana and is the sole surviving distillery in a country that has an incredible history in rum. The famous 18th century Port Mourant double wooden pot still and the Versailles single wooden pot still give their rums a certain flavour that has echoed through time. This rum was distilled in 2014 and spent the majority of its life on the continent in a once used bourbon barrel before being bottled in 2025.
The label is by @eliseconlin who brought another piece to life for this incredible rum. Four countries covered and we can’t wait to see what inspiration she’ll bring to the next piece.
This single barrel rum is non-chill filtered with no additives, yielding 270 bottles at a cask strength of 51.9% ABV.
