Evoking cherished memories of the Christmas holidays, our North Point Spiced Rum holds the deep richness of cacao, the comforting warmth of Seville Oranges, and the sweetness of molasses. This fusion of flavours, alongside an impressive array of 19 spices, serves to create a beautifully-balanced and characterful rum, displaying both the perfect amount of sweetness and spice.
Our Spiced Rum is non-chill filtered, so some flocculation can be expected when stored at cool temperatures. Simply shake well before serving for the perfect pour.

The Process
Making our Spiced Rum
Our Spiced Rum follows the same recipe as our Pilot Rum, at least in the beginning.
For our Spiced Rum, instead of putting this spirit into cask to become Pilot, it is then re-distilled in Sandy Stroma, with the addition of Cacao Nibs, 3 types of oranges, Coffee beans, Cassia, Ginger, Cardamom, Pink Peppercorn, Szechuan Peppercorn, Star Anise, Cloves, Liquorice Root, Coriander and more.
This spirit distillation takes the resulting rum spirit to around 80% ABV.
We then allow this beautifully spiced rum to steep for 3 to 4 weeks along with cinnamon sticks, whole vanilla pods, and muscovado sugar before proofing down the rum further to its final ABV of 43%. A necessary step for this chocolate- and orange-inspired rum.
