This whisky was distilled in 2009 and spent the majority of its life in a refill hogshead before being finished in a first fill Oloroso sherry octave for just over a year.
Regina Whisky Society is the first official club in Regina based on a shared love of scotch, bourbon and the company of those who enjoy these spirits. A group that celebrates the spirit and its members, RWS hosts tasting events throughout the year, bringing a variety of bottlings to those looking to explore. When we settled on this Islay for our first collaboration, we knew it would be a great experience the whole way through. One for the RWS history books, this hits you with all the right Islay notes that would make Bessie proud.
The label is a fantastic piece from Luke LeBlanc, aptly named “Islay Storm in a Bottle”. We hope the members of the Regina Whisky Society enjoy sharing this as much as we enjoyed finding it.
